Winter Hauntings is a four-week course that delves into the rich tradition of telling chilling tales during the long nights of winter. Drawing inspiration from the esteemed Victorian-era medievalist and master of ghost stories M.R. James, participants will craft their own atmospheric ghost stories to frighten children during the holidays, just like the good old days. We’ll study classic tales, have some literary discussions, do some brainstorming and writing, and share our stories on the last night of class.

Winter Hauntings will be held on Monday evenings from November 20 through December 11. The price for the four two-hour classes is $58 total, and you can register using Instant Enrollment online, by calling CCC’s Life Enrichment department at 252-222-6200, or by emailing [email protected].
